New York Governor Cuomo Coronavirus News Conference

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo held a news briefing from Albany on the coronavirus pandemic response.

Regarding President Trump’s statement earlier that day that he was considering imposing a quarantine on New York and parts of New Jersey and Connecticut to slow the spread of the disease, Governor Andrew Cuomo says he had not spoken with President Trump about a possible enforceable New York quarantine.

The governor stated, “I don’t even know what that means.” He went on to say he does not even like the sound of it. He also took reporters’ question for a little over an hour.

Governor Cuomo’s press conferences have been increasingly inspiring to Americans, even beyond the borders of New York state, as his expressions of concern for the victims of the virus have been delivered along with very clear and consistent discussion of the issues faced and clear direction towards addressing the challenges of providing medical care for the surging numbers of people ill with the disease, along with efforts to try to halt spread of it.
